Things to Do, What’s New — By meaghanclark on August 21, 2010 at 3:12 am

The exposed brick and modern aesthetic is the interior of CEO of Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp./ Souplantation Michael Mack, who welcomed locals into his City Front Terrace home during the first annual Interior Experience Tour. The weekend event in July celebrated local designers and residents in unique homes throughout the county, from North Park to Gaslamp.

Mack’s renovated two bedroom loft was constructed around his minimalistic design sense and exposed the brick and heavy wooden beams from its original days as a silk factory. The Souplantation owner celebrated a bare minimum room featuring clean lines and leather. His daughter’s room, off to college this year, is accented by bright pink, velvet and antiqued furniture.

Souplantation is a casual dining restaurant with several locations throughout San Diego. Offering up a buffet style palate of soups, salads and dessert, the venue is popular among families and large groups.
